At Regions the Programmer Analyst IV formulates/defines specifications for complex operating software programming applications or modifies/maintains complex existing applications using engineering releases and utilities from programs.
Primary Responsibilities
Competent to work at the highest technical level
Analyzes and evaluates existing or proposed systems, and devises computer programs, systems and related procedures to process data
Prepares charts and diagrams to assist in problem analysis and submits recommendations for solution
Prepares program specifications and diagrams and develops coding logic flowcharts
Encodes, tests, debugs and installs the operating programs and procedures in coordination with computer operations and user departments
Possesses and applies comprehensive knowledge of particular field of specialization to the completion of difficult assignments
Plans, conducts and may supervise assignments
Reviews progress and evaluates results
May train junior level personnel in technical complexities of assigned work
Recommends changes in procedures
Operates with substantial latitude for independent action or decision
Reviews progress with management

Analysis and Development:
Designs, creates and implements moderately complex Analysis solutions to support a self-serve BI environment. (Microsoft SSAS, SSRS, SSIS, SAS-EBI).
Codes, tests, debugs, implements moderately complex BI reporting solutions.
Automate activities wherever possible to minimize resource needs.
Troubleshoot and tuning in order to isolate and identify problems and to optimize system and reporting performance.
Communication:
Accurately prepares written business correspondence that is coherent, grammatically correct, effective, professional and engaging.
Communicates effectively with colleagues to identify needs and evaluate alternative business solutions.
Teamwork:
Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously.
Proactively seeks opportunities to broaden and deepen knowledge base and proficiencies.

Background and Experience Requirements:
Technical Requirements
3 or more years of active experience with Microsoft SSRS, SSAS
5 or more years of Unica Administration
SSIgrS and/or SAS
2 or more years of related experience in data warehouse and business intelligence architecting, designing and modeling of data. Financial industry experience preferred.
5 or more years of total technology industry experience.
Knowledge of multi-dimensional cubes, OLAP, and relational star and snowflake schemas
Proficient in the use of SQL, (SQL Server preferred).
Education Requirements:
Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related discipline. Equivalent work experience may be considered
Microsoft SQL Server (SSAS, SSRS, SSIS)

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
