Job Summary

The Chaplain is one member of a collaborative Pastoral Care team that is dedicated to fulfilling the department''s mission. His/her primary task is to provide professional Pastoral Care to patients, families and staff in assigned units. This task will be accomplished by integrating well with the multidisciplinary teams in those units. He/she will be on-call to provide pastoral care for trauma cases and any other on-call needs in the hospital as assigned.

Education

Level of theological knowledge acquired through completion of a Master of Divinity degree from an accredited school of theology.

Five quarters of CPE (including a CPE residency)

Experience

Pastoral care experience in a children''s hospital

Licensures, Certifications, and/or Registries

Denominational ordination and/or endorsement

Certified by the Association of Professional Chaplains preferred

If not certified, then must be eligible for certification by the Association of Professional Chaplains within the first 12 months of employment and certified by the Association of Professional Chaplains preferred within 24 months of employment.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
