Position Description
Primary purpose:
o Provide supervision, leadership, and technical support for Measurement Technicians across MS, AL, and GA for Division 8 Central.
Essential duties and
Responsibilities:
o Provide technical and supervisory leadership to area measurement technicians and facilities to ensure the safe, accurate and efficient operations of all equipment and systems
o Responsibility includes safety programs, environmental protection programs, governmental compliance, employee training and development, budgets, technical support, gas balancing and personnel functions within the measurement area of responsibility
o Monitoring and minimizing lost and unaccounted (L&U) gas across MS, AL, and GA for Division 8 Central.
o Assessing measurement facility and technician performance
o Assist with the development and management of operating and capital budgets
o Assist with the development and implementation of division measurement programs and projects
o Assist with after hour issues due to equipment and/or operational problems as needed
o Evaluate new technology and equipment in the gas measurement industry
o Regular and predictable attendance
o Other duties as assigned
Position Requirements
Minimum requirements:
Education:
o Four year Engineering degree from an accredited college or a Technical degree with equivalent experience
Experience / specific knowledge:
o Minimum of three years experience in the field of natural gas measurement
o Adequate computer skills (Microsoft Office apps -Outlook, Excel, Word - measurement software, etc.)
o Adequate knowledge of current AGA and GPA standards and guidelines
o Adequate knowledge and understanding of orifice meters, turbine meters, PD meters, rotary meters, ultrasonic meters, and gas chromatography
o Adequate knowledge of natural gas odorization and NEC philosophies/procedures and classified locations.
o Required to maintain technical proficiency
o Other related duties as assigned
o Travel is required
Certifications, licenses, registrations:
o Posses a valid driver's license and meet company insurability requirements
o May be required to possess a commercial driver's license, drive a company commercial vehicle and comply with all commercial vehicle regulations
o Successful completion of background check and drug screen prior to hire.

Physical demands:
o Must be able to withstand extreme weather conditions
o Must be able to frequently:
o Enter confined spaces
o Climb to and work from elevated platforms, ladders and walkways
o Must be able to lift a minimum of 20 pounds in awkward positions, and 50 pounds from floor to waist.
o Must be able to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions, climb vertical access ladders and stairwells, carry up to 50 pounds and to see, hear, walk and talk effectively.
Working conditions:
o Depending on location and workload, travel will be required

Above the minimum requirements; not required but advantageous in this position:
o Knowledge in all phases of mechanical, pneumatic and electronic measurement, and measurement control equipment.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
