Summary:
Samford University seeks a coordinator to support the marketing and communication activities of the Division of Marketing and Communication.
Working closely with the Executive Director of University Marketing and Public Relations and the Director of University Marketing, the Marketing and Communication Coordinator will support two academic units, Brock School of Business and Cumberland School of Law.
Additionally, the coordinator will serve as a liaison and project manager for on-campus partners, coordinating integrated marketing and communication plans to advance the programs and activities of those partners.
In collaboration with colleagues across the division, the marketing and communication coordinator will utilize a strategic mix of marketing and communication channels and tactics, including creative projects, owned (websites, social media, email marketing), paid (digital and traditional) and earned (media relations) media.
Job Duties and
Responsibilities:
Provide marketing and communication support to enhance the strategic priorities of Brock School of Business and Cumberland School of Law.
Tactical support will include, but is not limited to, website and social media content management, feature writing and email marketing.
Serve as a liaison between the Division of Marketing and Communication and Brock School of Business, Cumberland School of Law and identified on-campus partners.
Develop and implement integrated marketing and communication plans for on-campus partners that ensure brand consistency and support the organizational goals.
Consistently measure and report on the progress of these activities.
Develop written content (feature stories, news releases) for Brock School of Business, Cumberland School of Law and campus partners, as appropriate.
Coordinate strategic ideation and effective execution of marketing and communication tactics with colleagues from Division of Marketing and Communication.
This includes, but is not limited to:
Media Relations:
Identify opportunities to leverage accomplishments, events or employee expertise to generate media coverage.
Creative Development:
Ensure that campus partners have appropriate marketing and promotional materials to support their priorities.
Regularly review creative assets to ensure that they are accurate, timely and brand consistent.
Facilitate creation of new assets and materials as needed.
Video:
Facilitate development of video content, as appropriate.
Paid Media/Advertising:
Facilitate execution of paid media campaigns, as appropriate.
Digital Media:
Provide support, direction and expertise for partner digital platforms, including websites, social media and email marketing.
Coordinate timelines while monitoring key milestones and provide regular project updates to constituents.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring successful and on-time delivery.
Collaborate with team members to develop high-level, integrated performance reporting for Division of Marketing and Communication Attend university functions as appropriate to build relationships with key constituents.
Provide support for additional special projects and initiatives, as assigned by the Executive Director of Marketing and Communication and/or the Director of University Marketing.
Advance the goals and priorities of Division of Marketing and Communication.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Required
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
At least 1-3 years of demonstrated work experience in marketing, brand management, or a communication-related field.
Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively build relationships and collaborate with a wide variety of constituents.
Exceptional project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Demonstrated skill and experience in writing and editing for a variety of media, including news, feature, digital and social.
Experience working with and developing content for digital platforms.
A sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines.
Extremely organized and attentive to detail and accuracy.
Adept at learning new tools and technology.

Preferred
Qualifications:
Communication, marketing, or related degree preferred.
Understanding of project management tools preferred.
Technical competence in the workings of website content management systems, social media monitoring systems, and digital (web and social) analytics preferred.

The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
