Full-time 1 day ago Full Job Description At AMERICAN, the Human Resources Business Partner provides professional and technical support to the Human Resources Division to ensure achievement of divisional goals and objectives.
This position usually works with minimal supervision, conferring with manager on unusual matters.
Assignments in this role are broad in nature, usually requiring appreciable originality and ingenuity.
The Human Resources Business Partner performs various tasks such as needs assessment, administering and developing training, recruitment of potential candidates for job openings by maintaining strategic partnerships with local colleges and universities, coordinating pre-employment steps and start dates, screening and interviewing of internal applicants, posting job openings, maintaining and developing job descriptions, monitoring employment laws, administering job bidding and seniority policies, generating reports from the Human Resources software systems, performing wage evaluations, etc.
Following all established laws, orders, policies, and procedures while performing job duties to ensure all human resource activities meet both State and Federal standards.
This position works in a collaborative environment and requires a positive approach.
This role is designed to support multiple HR functions such as Talent Acquisition & Development, Benefits & Payroll and Employee Relations, Compliance & Compensation.
Requirements Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university with a major in Human Resources.
Proof of degree required.
A transcript or diploma would be acceptable and must be provided.
Consideration will also be given to candidates with other bachelor's degrees from an accredited four-year college or university, who also possess prior work experience in Human Resources.
Or six (6) years prior work experience in human resources related work.
Must have the ability to travel to Career Fairs, Campus Recruiting trips, conferences and training sessions as needed.
Skills and Competencies Ability and desire to learn.
Capability to understand and implement state and federal regulations.
Advanced knowledge in the use of word processing, spreadsheet, and database software such as Word, Excel, and Access.
Great oral and written communication skills (i.
e.
, good command of grammar and spelling), and interpersonal skills.

Ability to functions successfully in a collaborative work environment.
Maintain highest level of confidentiality.
Exhibit patience in stressful situations.

Preferred Qualifications Prior experience using an applicant tracking system (ATS).
Prior experience using HR management systems such as Kronos and Cyborg.
