QA Automation Engineer

Overview:
The Automation QA Engineer provides automated testing support to the product development team, resolving, defects, and other issues and ensuring the product meets customer specifications.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for working with other QA team members and ensuring best practices and procedures are being followed.
Specific activities will include:
Participates as a team member executing the following tasks.
Requirements analysis and decomposition Prioritization of test-related tasks Test Design development Writing and executing of Test Cases Manual Test Execution Data Validation Defect Tracking; entry and reporting Coordinate the test bed environment Test Status & Metrics Reporting Acts as team player to help other team members on meeting schedules and/or resolve technical problems Design and Document test plans for assign products Help to define test environment (e.
g.
, tools, simulators, etc) Work with automation team to select test cases for automation Participates in peer reviews of test automation design/implementation Participates in peer reviews for test plans, test cases, test execution and test metrics.
Provide estimates and other inputs on the test effort to the Sr QA Analyst or QA Manager for test planning purposes Assist development in debugging and retesting reported defects as necessary Provide on-going test status and data to the QA Manager for test monitoring and control purposes.
During project testing periods on a daily basis provide and post project test metrics to the Project Manager and SR.
QA Analyst or QA Manager as per the test methodology Work with the development to perform root cause analysis of field reported defects Report defects in defect tracking system by providing detailed documentation as proof of test failures for repeatability.
Compare testing metrics to exit criteria to provide QA advice on product release.
Maintains prompt and regular attendance.

Qualifications:
Three or more years in software quality assurance experience required.
Required experience with Testing Methods Functional Testing Black Box Testing Testing Types System Testing Integration Testing Regression Testing SDLC Models Waterfall Agile Some knowledge of White Box Testing Compatibility Testing User Acceptance Testing Performance Testing Specialty Software:
Azure DevOps Other:
XML, SQL, IVR Experience with test automation and automation tools a plus but not required.
Experience with defect management tools.
Experience in an agile development and Use Case based testing a plus.
Recommended Skills Acceptance Testing Agile Methodology Black Box Testing Bug Tracking Compatibility Testing Debugging Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
