What we are looking for:
Looking for someone who is a creative problem solver, resourceful in getting things done, and productive working independently or collaboratively. We are looking for a big data developer that will help build out a big data platform based on open source technologies. Work will consist of collecting, storing, processing, and analyzing varied and very large sets of data. The primary focus will be on implementing, maintaining, and monitoring all aspects of the big data platform.

Skill and Qualifications
2
years experience in Information Technology
Proficient understanding of distributed computing principles
Linux experience
Experience with either Java, Python, or Scala
Knowledge of relational databases and SQL
The following are desired but not required
Background in physics, statistics or mathematics
Any big data experience with Hadoop, HDFS, cluster management
Experience with building stream-processing systems
Experience with Spark
Experience with integration of data from multiple data sources
Experience with NoSQL databases, such as Cassandra, MongoDB
Knowledge of various ETL techniques and frameworks, such as Flume
Experience with various messaging systems, such as Kafka or RabbitMQ
