Primary Purpose:
The primary purpose of this role is to help build data protection functions to support an expanding organization. The Data Protection Analyst II will have responsibility for an assortment of duties related to the protection and security of data including analysis of controls, participating and/or leading remediation efforts, assisting with data classification and data vetting activities, monitoring and responding to data events, and participating and/or leading key management and data encryption projects. Responsibilities and Duties:
Assists in evaluating data protection products and services required to meet business and technology needs. Assist with the development, monitoring, and reporting of metrics and stats related to data protection and associated controls. Assist with data discovery initiatives to identify and classify data across the enterprise Assist with data encryption initiatives to ensure that data is protected at rest and in transit. Assist with the development and documentation of departmental processes and procedures as required. Provide support for eDiscovery and data forensic activities. Assist lines of business (LOB) with identifying and developing solutions for data masking and data sanitization. Work with business and technology personnel to ensure that database protection controls are implemented and monitored. Assist with the research, development, implementation, and monitoring of data loss prevention (DLP) controls for cloud applications, email, mobile devices, and other technologies. Assist with the development, implementation, and monitoring of insider risk and supply chain risk initiatives. Assist with encryption key management activities. Design and implement technical security protection standards (such as data disposition, data classification, and encryption) for systems involved in processing sensitive data Assist in file share protection efforts across the enterprise. Assist business and technology personnel with the development of secure file transfer solutions. Assist with the management and monitoring of mobile device management (MDM) solutions to better identify and protect sensitive data on mobile devices. Assist with the Identity and access management functions related to Information Security. Assist with the configuration and maintenance of data protection tools Monitor security systems for DLP events and conduct inquiries and escalate anomalies for further investigation as necessary Provide reporting of security controls and access for audits and exams as needed Participate in other assignments as directed by the manager Knowledge and
Experience:

years experience in a data analyst role working with Data Access Governance, Scan reporting and/or Data Discovery tools 2+years experience with data loss prevention (DLP)/ Data Protection controls 2
years experience working with and designing Microsoft and/or Google Infrastructure Two to four years in a banking or financial related organization preferred Working knowledge in data and system security techniques and tools Ability to apply knowledge of information security principles and best practices in review of security configurations as it applies to this role. Previous experience with mail encryption, email security systems, or DLP applications is a plus Experience with cloud and on-premise hybrid architecture preferred Strong understanding of Microsoft Active Directory, Group Policies, and ability to troubleshoot issues. Good understanding of network administration, TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, routers, and other computer networking concepts Ability to work independently Experience with PowerShell preferred Strong oral and written communication skills is a must Project management experience is a plus EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. CERTIFICATION:
Security+, CISSP, or cloud certifications are preferred.
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
Business Intelligence & Analytics, IT SecurityEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
