IT Quality Assurance Analyst
Motion Industries' Information Technology Department is seeking a candidate responsible for quality assurance testing of Motion software applications and ensuring that functionality meets design specifications and business requirements through the writing, execution, and reporting of manual tests - with the ultimate goal of ensuring high quality of Motion IT applications, as measured by post-production defects. Responsibilities:
Creates and executes tests to verify story acceptance criteria.Performs functional, integration, and end-to-end testing for semi-weekly releases.As defects are discovered, generates defect tickets in VersionOne that include the specific steps to reproduce the issue, screenshots, and any additional information or insights that may assist in resolving the issue.Ensures that all in-scope requirements for a given release are effectively tested.During testing, ensures that the look and feel of the user interface (UI) is consistent with Motion design standards.Documents and communicates the findings of defects, and monitors the status of their resolutionParticipates in Agile ceremonies and advises team on testability of storiesFrequent communication with QA Director, QA staff, Application Developers, Scrum Masters, Product Owners and Business Partners for reporting the status of testing and defects foundFrequent interaction with QA Director for testing status updates, progress reporting, and overall coordination of testing activitiesAssists Application Development teams in troubleshooting and remediating defectsTesting of software releases in order to uncover defects, application responsiveness, and compliance with IT Policy & Procedure Statements (MPPS's) and User Interface standards.Creates and executes tests to verify story acceptance criteria.Performs functional, integration, and end-to-end testing for semi-weekly releases.Documents and communicates the findings of defects, and monitors the status of their resolutionParticipates in Agile ceremonies and advises team on testability of storiesConducts testing in accordance with the QA and IT processesIdentifies and makes recommendations as to cost savings opportunities
Qualifications:

years of experience with Quality Assurance procedures and testing approaches in Agile / Scrum environments.Must be able to learn quickly on a system with complex business processes and rulesStrong observation and analytical skills. Keen attention to detail and problem-solving abilityStrong interpersonal and teamwork skillsStrong verbal and written communication skillsExperience with structured application development and change control methodologies.Experience with relational database methodology as well as methods for accessing and validating of data via SQL.Experience with VersionOne and Jenkins preferred.Familiarity with automated testing tools/frameworks such as Rest Assured, JaxRS, Cypress, Cucumber, Appium is a plusExperience in a CI/CD environment is a plus.Software Quality (CTFL, CASQ or CSQA) and/or Software Testing (CAST or CSTE) Certifications a plus.Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related degree is required.
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
