Vincent's Hospital Campus.
Our group is comprised of Internal Medicine, 5 Specialties (Cardiology, Dermatology, Gastroenterology, Endocrinology, and Infectious Disease), and various ancillary services.
Our Business Office is comprised of a Charge Entry Team, an Insurance Follow-Up Team, a Collections Team, a Pre-Cert Coordinator, and a Specialty Billing/Multi-Task Team.
Together, this team ensures the Physician Billing Revenue Cycle steps are completed in a timely manner.
Our Current opening is for a Commercial Insurance Follow Up Representative.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to receiving Commercial Insurance remits, posting/applying Commercial payments to patient accounts, managing rejections and denials which can include correcting demographic information, coding and submitting corrected claims, and/or preparing and submitting appeals, taking In-coming patient calls regarding patient accounts which may include explaining account balances, updating insurance, re-filing claims, or correcting patient demographics, and other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Manager.
Southview requires a High School Diploma/GED for this position.
Previous Insurance Follow-Up experience, specifically Commercial Insurances, in an Outpatient Business Office is strongly preferred.
Due to the high volume usage of Electronic Health Records and Electronic Practice Management systems, it is required that Patient Account Representatives have a strong background utilizing computers in a working environment.
Work hours may vary, but will typically be between 7:
30AM and 4:
30PM.
Work days are Monday through Friday.
This position will transition from on-site to remote following a successful training period,typically, 90 days.
