Summary:
Ability to communicate effectively with insurance payors, Center's staff, physicians and their staff, patients and their families.
Must be able to verify insurance in a timely manner.
Ability to handle frequent interruptions that result in having to re-evaluate priorities.
Keyboarding, medical terminology and detail oriented.
The Insurance Verifier associate is responsible for entering, correcting and verifier all patient demographics and financial billing information in the practice management system and patient record.
Job Duties and
Responsibilities:
Ensures insurance verification is completed accurately, and within a minimum of three days prior to date of service.
Specific duties identified below:
Data entry is accurate and completed in patient accounting software (HST) according to procedure.
Makes sure authorization forms are in the medical record prior to date of service.
Contacts patients to communicate patient responsibility due on the date of service.
Verifies a minimum of thirty-five accounts daily.
Assures Health Stream education is up to date and completed prior to annual evaluation.
Participates in regular departmental staff meetings and facility -wide meetings.
Always on time for work and attendance is within company policy guidelines.
Willingness to assist in orientation of new staff and ensuring a high level of employee satisfaction and retention.
Qualifications:
High School graduate Minimum of one year of experience in business office activities within a healthcare environment Ability to relate and work effectively with others Demonstrated verbal and written communications in English for contacting payors, patients, and co-workers Demonstrated computers skills in utilizing work processing, integrated database, and understanding of mathematical calculations and medical terminology Quick Apply.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
