The UAB Voice Center is an inter-professional center of excellence providing the highest quality of care to people dealing with voice and upper airway disorders, dysphagia, and head and neck cancer.
The center is staffed by two fellowship-trained Laryngologists and 6 specialized speech-language pathologists.

The UAB Voice Center Clinical Fellowship will provide fellows with comprehensive exposure tothe full cadre of disorders of the voice, upper airway, dysphagia, and head and neck cancer, including behavioral, medical, and surgical management.
Members of the UAB Speech Language Pathology team also provide care to other interprofessional teams in the medical center, including the Facial Nerve Clinic and the DBS team.
Fellows will become independent members of several interprofessional teams through practice in voice and laryngology clinics, in-office laryngology procedures, botulinum toxin injection clinics, facial nerve clinics, DBS teams with neurology, and others.
The fellow will become skilled in a variety of voice, upper airway, head and neck cancer, and dysphagia practices including;comprehensive clinical voice evaluations; acoustic and aerodynamic assessments, rigid and flexible laryngeal imaging; modified barium swallow studies in radiology; flexible endoscopic evaluation of swallowing, high-resolution manometry; comprehensive upper airway evaluations; singing voice therapy; and TEP.
Therapy is conducted both in person and via telehealth to develop a well-rounded clinician equipped to be an independent practitioner in an inter-professional center at the end of the fellowship.
Team rounds in voice, dysphagia,state-wide Difficult Case Conferences, DBS rounds, tumor board, and weekly didactic sessions with the Otolaryngology residents will complete the fellow's clinical learning.
Participating in the UAB Voice Lab's research meeting and research studies will provide a scholarly opportunity.
General ResponsibilitiesUnder the guidance of the program preceptor, to allow the development of clinical skills consistent with the diagnosis, evaluation, and treatment of individuals with communications disorders (speech, language, voice, fluency, swallowing) and application of knowledge gained from academic training.
To refine clinical skills and evaluate individual clinical assets and liabilities.
Position Requirements:
EDUCATION AND
Experience:
Master's degree in Speech Pathology or Communicative Disorders and completion of a clinicalinternship/externship.
Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirements.
LICENSE, CERTIFICATION AND/OR REGISTRATION:
Clinical fellowship (CF) registration with the Alabama Board of Examiners for Speech Pathology andAudiology (ABESPA) within sixty (60) days of hire date required.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
