4K a year 14 days ago 14 days ago 14 days ago Description The University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB), Department of Radiology, is seeking a highly motivated Researcher II to perform research in multi-modality imaging and animal models of cancer, and requires knowledge in the use of the instruments, animal models, as well as other areas (in vitro assays, radio-labeling) that are required for experimentation.
Additionally, this project will require assistance with translational clinical studies.
General Responsibilities Under minimal supervision:
To set up and perform routine and established lab procedures in support of lab goals.
To collect, enter and summarize data.
To monitor results and report unusual outcomes.
Key Duties & Responsibilities Sets up and performs routine and established lab procedures in support of lab goals.
Runs assays, cell/tissue culture, animal studies, etc.
Collects, enters and summarizes data.
Monitors results; detects and reports unusual outcomes.
Assists in the maintenance and trouble-shooting of lab equipment and supplies.
Performs basic statistical data analysis.
Performs fundamental statistical data analysis.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Hourly Salary Range $15.
50 - $20.
20 Qualifications Bachelor's degree in a related field OR Associate's degree in a related field and two (2) years of related experience OR High School diploma or GED and four (4) years of related experience Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement.
Preferences Experience with preclinical and/or clinical imaging acquisition and analysis.
Experience working with patients.
