5K a year Description Reports to the Assistant Manager of Ambulatory Operations.
Responsible for the scheduling of surgical procedures for the Surgery Department.
Serves as a liaison between patient, surgeon, facility, pre-op staff, etc.
Position requires good understanding of ophthalmic practice and insurance coverage.
Requires considerable attention to detail.
Ability to communicate with patients, surgeons, co-workers and management is critical.
Must be willing to help in all areas of the department.
Qualifications Some education in secretarial, medical terminology, reimbursement and coding beneficial.
Computer data entry or word processor experience desired.
Must have professional telephone manner.
