Answers the telephone and determines the form of assistance required.
Assures units within the department responds or refers the call to other sources for resolution.
Performs multi-tasking priorities.
Maintains knowledge of all required department policies and procedures.
Operates the Alabama Criminal Justice Information Center/National Crime Information Center (ACJIC/NCIC) terminal and become certified on the same.
Operates equipment in the Communications Center.
Rotates on all shifts and all days of the week, at the discretion of the Communications Supervisor.
Starting Hourly Pay Rate:
$15.
00 Qualifications High School diploma or GED required.
Ability to type twenty-five (25) WPM required.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
