Summary:
Processes orders for chemicals and other products received by mail, telephone or e-mail from customers by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following.
Other duties may be assigned.
Edits orders received for price and nomenclature.
Informs customers of unit prices, shipping dates, anticipated delays, and any additional information needed by customers.
Enters orders into the computer.
Files copies of orders received.
Routes orders to warehouses for filling and follows up on orders to ensure delivery by specified dates.
Computes price, discount, and shipping charges.
Receives and checks customer complaints.
Confers with sales, warehouse, or common carrier personnel to expedite or trace missing or delayed shipments.
