We are currently assisting one of our clients in a search for a Business Applications Manager that will play a strategic role on our customer's management team. The individual in this position is responsible for partnering with business leaders in various operating units to provide solutions to business problems and support business goals and strategies, through the application of technology. To be successful in this position, the individual must have strong skills in communications, analytics, problem solving, and project management, as well as have demonstrated knowledge and understanding of business principals and methods. This position reports to the Information Systems Manager and will spend much of their time working with both the business and IT to make improvements to the bottom line of the organization through leveraging technology.
Responsibilities:
Partner with operating unit leaders to understand, define, and collaborate on defined Information System priorities and current business opportunities.
Work with the Managers, as an extension of their staff, to identify and define the specific business requirements necessary to turn their defined strategies into deliverables through the application of technology.
Translate the defined specific business requirements into the technical blueprints, solutions, and projects necessary to develop and/or acquire the supporting systems.
Work with business leaders to define solutions and projects for evaluation and approval.
Present recommended solutions to business leaders for approval and prioritization.
Provide periodic status and progress reports to business leadership.
Define the cost of providing the solution and develop the cost/benefit analysis to project the expected return on the investment and the resulting project.
Develop project resource staffing strategies, taking into consideration both internal and external resources, necessary to accomplish the implementation of the technology solution. This includes evaluating the internal technical competencies, working with the Software

Manager to develop resource plans, technical training plans, interviewing and selecting outside technical consultants, and developing cost analysis for the internal vs. external resource decision.
Work with the Infrastructure Manager to define, evaluate and select, and justify the acquisition of any new infrastructure equipment required to support the technology solution.
Define and develop the project plan in support of the implementation of the solution including test plans, user acceptance metrics, training plans, production environment impact assessments, and post go live metrics for determining if the expected benefits were achieved.
Manage internal and external resources assigned to the projects initiated. This includesbusiness subject matter experts, IT Business Analysts, Software Engineers, and IT Support.
Promote communications within the department and across O'Neal to keep both audiences up to date of project status and accomplishments.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
5
years experience serving in a liaison type role between IT and the Business related to technology projects
Experience working with business stakeholders to solve problems and create improvements by leveraging technology
3
years experience overseeing projects / project management
4 year degree or Masters
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
