We are currently assisting one of our customers located in Birmingham, AL in a search for a Systems Administrator. This Systems Administrator will support virtual servers, operating systems, storage systems (SAN), and proprietary/3rd party products (hardware and software), while also responding appropriately to hardware and software issues.
This administrator will need to have strong technical skills in VMware and Windows Server. Equal or lesser skills in one or more areas of competency including but not limited to Citrix 6.5, Active Directory, Security, Printing, and Dell Compellent SANs is beneficial.
Essential Duties &
Responsibilities:
- Configuring and maintaining Virtual Machines within VMware.
- Providing support for hardware and software related issues by responding quickly and effectively to customer (external) and corporate (internal) related issues.
- Configuring hardware and network components to meet corporate and production requirements.
- Providing system recovery in case of hardware or system failures - includes virus attacks.
Education/
Qualifications:
- Degree in
computer
Science with a minimum of 1 year of Systems Administration experience utilizing VMware and SAN technology or 3 or more years of demonstrated Systems Administration experience utilizing VMware and SAN technology.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organization skills and ability to manage multiple competing tasks and priorities
- Effective interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with technical and support groups
- Experienced with utilizing and responding to
tickets
using a CRMEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
