A client of Global Technology Consulting is currently seeking a Database Warehouse Analyst to join their team in Birmingham, AL. Under minimal supervision, this position develops and builds dashboards, reports and analytics models; determines information needs and identifies system requirements; assesses data extraction, report generation and bugs appearing in operations involving the data warehouse; acts as a liaison between Information Technology and business units or individuals to create, understand, document, deliver and recommend solutions and the delivery of those solutions through the full development lifecycle.

Job Requirements:

1. Bachelor's degree in a technical field, preferably Computer Science or Information Technology.
2. Two (2) years experience working with relational databases, experience with data warehouses preferred.
3. Must have one (1) years experience using Business Intelligence technology currently utilized by the company to build dashboards, reports and analytics models. Business Intelligence tools include, but are not limited to Essbase, OBIEE, Analysis Services, SAS, and Cognos.
4. In-depth knowledge of database technologies and tools including Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, Informix and other desired database servers.
5. Excellent communication and consultative skills.
6. Candidates that have prior experience with two or more Business Intelligence tools currently utilized by the company will be preferred.
7. Requires patience and ability to provide assistance under pressure.
8. Proficiency working in Windows and Linux (Oracle Enterprise Linux) environments. Proficiency in UNIX (Solaris) is preferred.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
