The Director of Development will be responsible for supporting three Vice Presidents and the Senior Vice President of Development in their efforts to originate, execute and support the development of new de novo inpatient rehabilitation hospitals, as well as the acquisition or joint venture of existing inpatient rehabilitation operations. The Director of Development will accompany the Development Officers on business trips when appropriate and will have an active role in presentations.

Education, Training and Years of
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree required with an emphasis in business (preferably finance or accounting), healthcare administration or similar field. Master's degree in business or health administration encouraged. Comprehensive understanding of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Minimum 5 years of relevant experience including the following:
- Meaningful experience working in healthcare business development, including experience and willingness to make cold calls.
- Thorough understanding of financial statements and operating reports.
- Experience working on joint venture and acquisition transactions.
- Experience analyzing large amounts of data and drawing conclusions regarding the risks and opportunities for business development activities.
- Experience analyzing financial information and the ability to identify opportunities or risks based on that information.
Machines, Equipment Used:
- General office equipment such as telephone, copy machine, fax machine, calculator, computer.
Physical Requirements:
- Good visual acuity and ability to communicate.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 30 pounds and ability push/pull a minimum of 30 pounds, which includes the lifting, pushing and/or pulling of supplies and equipment. Reasonable assistance may be requested when lifting, pushing, and/or pulling are undertaken which exceeds these minimum requirements.
- Requires periodically working evenings and weekends and may involve significant travel.
