SUMMARY
Jack Henry and Associates has an immediate opening for a RPG IV/ILEProgrammer.This position will provide programming support for existing software enhancements. In addition this role will also provide support for external and internal customers.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
5 years experience in RPG IV/ILEprogramming
Occasional overnight travel required
Able to participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation including after hours support
Able to work extended hours
5 years experience with RPG Free Format&CL programming experience
PREFERRED SKILLS:
College Degree
Knowledge of the financial industry
SoftLanding Turnover experience
Embedded SQL experience
DB2 database experience
Experience working with data queues
Experience working with RPG file encapsulation
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Develops programming code for existing software enhancements
Devises block diagrams, logic procedures and prepares flowcharting
Troubleshoots and debugs existing code
Tests code and fixes to ensure quality
Develops conversion and system implementation plans; implements newly created code and fixes into existing software
Provides programming support for various interfaces
Keeps customers informed of all enhancements, troubleshooting, and fixes
Creates all programming documentation
Completes project bids
Mentors, trains, develops and provides support to less experienced co-workers
Able to write software code; good knowledge of appropriate programming language(s)
