Responsibilities
Function: Will have experience and knowledge in a specific area and will serve as the subject matter expert in support of various audit teams.
In the areas of specialty:
Collaborates with the manager in the planning process.
Directly performs the test in the work program.
Identifies the relevant aspects to include in the audit report and the recommendations that add value to the clients.
Compiles the report or collaborates with the manager in its writing.
Maintains the communication with the client in the areas of his specialty.
Support the activities of the rest of the auditors.
Executes the tasks assigned in the work program and cooperates with the team leader in the development of each phase of the field work. Able to identify relevant risks and to report to the team leader. Generates an atmosphere of integration in the teams. Establishes some relationship level with the clients. Contributes with ideas and suggestions to the improvement of the audit methodology. Collaborates in the training and supervision of the auditors, with emphasis in the implementation of the audit methodology.
Develop partnerships with clients by understanding their goals and deliverables, key business processes, technologies, risk management practices and areas of potential risk. Additional responsibilities will include supporting other audit teams from time to time as well as the Department's participation in acquisition due diligence efforts.
Qualifications
Education & Training: Bachelor's degree is required and Master's degree is preferred. A major in quantitative fields such as: Mathematics, Statistics, or Finance is strongly preferred. A professional designation is a plus.
Experience Required: Four to eight years experience in auditing, accounting, general banking, and or information technology preferred.
Grade 18 Experience Required: At least 3 years of risk modeling experience using quantitative modeling tools. Minimum of 3-5 years experience in relevant Finance, Audit, and/or Risk Management Roles
Grade 19 Experience Required: Four or more years of risk modeling experience using quantitative modeling tools. Minimum of 5 years experience in relevant Finance, Audit, and/or Risk Management Roles
Grade 20 Experience Required: Five or more years of risk modeling experience using quantitative modeling tools. Minimum of 6 years experience in relevant Finance, Audit, and/or Risk Management Roles
Skills Required:
System knowledge with excellent PC skills including MS Suite (Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word, Project) as well as familiarity with relational databases and use of related query tools and programming experience (C++, C#, VB, R, MATLAB, SAS, SPSS, etc.)
Exposure to or hands-on knowledge of market risk modeling (IR, FX), asset-liability management, credit risk modeling, derivatives valuation, and portfolio risk analytics
Experience with statistical model validation
Familiarity with Basel and SR11-7
Understanding of consumer risk models, credit business, credit markets, and credit-related models
Management, communication and presentation skills
Bilingual in English-Spanish (spoken and written) is a plus.
Must be willing to travel domestically and internationally, as required.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
