Responsibilities

The role is to define, develop, test, analyze, and maintain Database / Software applications in support of the achievement of business requirements. This includes writing, coding, testing, and analyzing software programs and applications. The Programmer Analyst will also research, design, document, and modify software/reports specifications throughout the production life cycle.

Responsibilities:
Collaborate with clients, programmers, and designers for the development of database / software programs and applications.
Analyze and assess existing business systems and databases.
Consistently write, translate, and code software programs and applications related to data capture from customers.
Assist in the definition, development, and documentation of software's business requirements, objectives, deliverables, and specifications.
Write programming scripts to enhance functionality and/or performance of company applications as necessary.
Design, run and monitor software performance tests on new and existing programs for the purposes of correcting errors, isolating areas for improvement, and general debugging.
Generate statistics and write reports for management.
Develop and maintain user manuals and guidelines.
Provide rotational, after-hours support.
Execution of various month end processes.
Qualifications
Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to conduct research into software-related issues and products.
Highly self-motivated and directed. Able to analyze and solve problems.
Keen attention to detail.
Can work both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Good understanding of basic coding methods/building blocks and best practices.
Capable of understanding and learning emerging technologies.
Knowledge of any relational databases like Oracle, SQL Server 2005 or 2008, Access etc
Strong SQL knowledge is required
Knowledge of data file conversions, UNIX or Linux scripting exposure, Tools like Microsoft VISIO, Data Modeling tool, TOAD, Informatica will be an added advantage
Requires a bachelor's degree in a related field and 3-7 years of experience in the field or related area.
