Job Summary
This position will serve as a lead level functional expert for the Clinical Applications Team. Responsibilities include interacting with physicians, nurses and other clinicians; supporting hospital departments and other IS teams to complete requirements analysis; design, integration, implementation and maintenance of physician and clinical information systems. This position will often serve as technical team lead for assigned projects. This position requires strong business analysis, computer and organizational.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Works with clinicians and hospital departments to perform analysis and design of new applications or enhancements to existing applications.
Assists in coordination of implementation efforts with user departments and other IS teams for enhancements or new applications.
Develops and maintains supporting documentation for assigned projects including meeting minutes, flow charts, diagrams, and issues log and project specifications.
Provides supervisor with projected hours required to complete project. Reports hours spent on the project for effective management of project.
Performs changes to specific applications using appropriate tools to make screen changes, adding user fields, building user interfaces, modifying master files and profiles, SQL and/or Oracle queries etc.
Receives problem call referrals from Help Desk for assigned applications and researches assigned problems to ensure timely resolution and thorough tracking/documentation of problem resolution. Maintains open lines of communication with customers, keeping them informed as to problem status.
Provides assistance in developing training materials and conducting training classes for new applications and enhancements to assigned applications.
Responds to off-duty calls willingly and promptly.
With assistance, works with departments to ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures for data management (confidentiality and security), compliance with regulatory agencies and HIPAA guidelines.

Education

Bachelors Degree in computer science or healthcare related field.
Experience
Three to four years of experience with Information Systems in a hospital or other health care facility that has an advanced level of automation.
Experience in Requirements gathering and business analysis with a proven track record is a must.
Experience with the analysis, development, installation and maintenance of Oracle/SQL Server databases is strongly desired. SQL programming and data analysis skills are a very valuable trait for this position.
Previous experience with and a proficient working knowledge of Allscripts Sunrise Clinical Manager or other hospital EHR is strongly desired.
Experience in short and long range planning with the ability to prepare well-written and logical documents is strongly desired. Demonstrated ability to lead and coordinate individual activities to meet schedules and deadlines.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Proficiency with Personal Computers including experience with Microsoft Office applications, i.e. Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Project.
Proficiency with SQL Server or Oracle databases and query language.
Must have excellent analytical skills to include data gathering, fact-finding, and report generation using word processing, spreadsheets, and database tools.
Must have excellent written, verbal, and communication skills.
Must have ability to work well with others, including technical and non-technical peers.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
