Senior IT Service Technician (Network/Server)
Immediate Opening. Seeking experienced senior IT service technician. We are an established IT company specializing in the small to medium size business market. We sell, install, service and upgrade PC Hardware (servers, desktops, laptops, bdr, etc) , Printers, and Peripherals. Additionally we offer Managed Services Solutions for both networks and printers. Work is completed onsite in the Metro Birmingham area in our service center. We require personal and professional integrity, a strong work ethic, neat appearance, non-smoker, and good driving record. Primary
Responsibilities:
Install, troubleshoot and maintain Windows Servers (Small Business Server 2008 and Server 2012 R2);
Install, troubleshoot and maintain network desktops, laptops and peripherals;
Configure and manage backup and disaster recovery solutions (BDR);
Configure and deploy virtual servers and desktops;
Install and configure network switches (managed and unmanaged);
Install and configure security appliances (Cisco, Watchguard, Fortinet, etc,);
Install and configure wireless networks and wireless access points;
The best candidate will have many of the following skills:
Relevant experience with Windows-based servers (Microsoft certification);
Break/fix hardware repair skills;
Windows 7 Professional competency/certification;
Antivirus competency/certification;
Cisco, or comparable competency/certification;
VOIP/SIP phone experience;
Residential/Home-based office configuration;
Smartphone, tablet integration/sync;
Attention to detail;
Attention to documentation;
Problem solving;
Excellent customer communications;
Natural curiosity to investigate new and emerging technology;
Note: experience and certification are both desirable. Experience may be substituted for certification.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
