Physician (Epileptologist)

This position in located in the Neurology Service in Birmingham VA Medical Center.
The epileptologist is a specialty care physician who is Board Certified or Board Eligible in Neurology and has fellowship training in all aspects of epilepsy management, including pre and post epilepsy surgery evaluations.
Experience in magnetoencephalography as a tool for epilepsy surgery evaluation is highly preferred.
The Neurologist will be a member of the Neurology Service and oversee the development and daily operations of the Birmingham VA Medical Center's video EEG monitoring unit and continuous long term monitoring in the ICUs.
He/She will provide acute care management and follow-up for epilepsy patients.
The epileptologist is responsible for assisting the team in the development of an organized approach to epilepsy and epilepsy evaluation, facilitating emergency treatment, performing thorough evaluations, and in the implementation of evidence-based medicine and best practices, thereby resulting in improved patient outcome at decreased cost.
The epileptologist will help supervise neurology residents and fellows rotating through the VA (inpatient and outpatient) in the management of epilepsy.
He/she will be encouraged to participate in clinical epilepsy research and education as part of the VA mission.

Relocation expenses are not authorized for this position and will not be reimbursed.
Work Schedule:
Day Shift.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
