Clinical Pharmacy Specialist (Annex)

The Clinical Pharmacy Specialist (CPS) will be responsible for providing a variety of pharmaceutical services in ambulatory care and acute care settings as well as administrative duties related to pharmaceutical care.
The CPS will serve in the ambulatory care PACT model.
Responsibilities include evaluating, designing, implementing and monitoring medication therapy in complex ambulatory care settings, evaluating non-formulary and prior authorization medication requests, responding to clinical pharmacy service consults, provision of medication reconciliation and patient education services, participating in development and implementation of treatment protocols, documenting assessments, interventions, and recommendations in the medical record.

CPS serving as drug information consultant, and participating in pharmacy quality programs including medication errors, adverse effects and cost savings initiatives.

The CPS will also serve as a preceptor for pharmacy students and residents, provide staff education, serve on various committees, and perform other duties as assigned.

The CPS will maintain an active scope of practice and serve as a mid-level provider and will participate in higher-level duties of significant scope, administrative independence, and complexity.

The CPS may be assigned other distributive or clinical cross-coverage duties, inclusive of medicine team rounding, pharmacokinetics, etc.
as needed to meet the needs of the medical center.
This pharmacist will also handle routine medication-related activities in accordance with local, Veterans Integrated Service Network (VISN), and national policies and regulations Hours of duty:
Monday-Friday from 7AM to 7PM (8 hour shifts) Rotating Weekends Rotating Holidays.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
