POSITION SUMMARY
To plan and implement clinical education needs as it relates to clinical inpatient systems. The candidate will need to be flexible in conducting both classroom and on the job training. Such candidate will conduct orientation and implement individual learning plans for new employees. To provide educational opportunities that are up to date with the most current standards of practice in the related field. Exempt (Salaried - Not eligible for overtime)
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Work experience may NOT substitute for minimum education requirement. Associate's degree preferred and one (1) year related experience required for Certified Epic Educator; Bachelor's Degree preferred in Education or other clinical specialties (Nursing, Radiology, Pharmacy, Lab Services, etc.).
CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND SKILLS

Conduct employee training on clinical IT systems. Serves as liaison between clinical IT and clinical users at facilities. Customer service representative to employees and patients while identifying and improving areas that would promote the patient's experience. Assist with the development and implementation of training lesson plans which includes a customer service script to assist associates with patient interaction and improve customer satisfaction
Sets goals and objectives aligned with the relative program to define what will be accomplished in the role and by what deadline. Reports to manager on the progress of the unit's educational needs.
Maintains a presence and provides assistance at team conferences and meetings. Participates in projects or committees as volunteered or assigned.
Monitors the educational needs of personnel within the department. Arranges opportunities for staff access to educational programs. Conducts educational audits of a listing of associates that participated and their expiration dates and maintains records of educational requirements
Assists in student orientation, education and rotations if applicable. Arranges preceptors for students.
Uses various teaching methodologies during instruction. Networks with other educators to improve the relative department.
Maintains current knowledge of nursing care requirements. Assesses need for personal growth and development and takes the initiative in seeking opportunities to meet this need.
Works with Risk Management department to find solutions to issues and concerns reported

Preferred Qualifications
LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS / REGISTRATIONS
Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Alabama or eligible to be licensed. EPIC Credentialed Trainer (CT) preferred for Orders, Clinical Documentation, and/or ASAP applications.
