Location: Birmingham, AL
Schedule: Monday-Friday; two shifts available 9:30am 6:30pm or 1pm 9:30pm
Relocation: $2,000 relocation Assistance is available

Histology Technician / Histotechnician
Job Responsibilities
As a Histology technician, you will perform daily, routine, and specialized histology techniques and procedures, including: cutting, embedding, grossing, and equipment maintenance.
Additional responsibilities of the Histology Technician include:
Preparing histologic slides from tissue sections for microscopic examination and diagnosis by pathologists
Staining tissue specimens with dyes or other chemicals to make cell details visible under microscopes
Cutting sections of body tissues for microscopic examination using microtomes
Mounting tissue specimens on glass slides
Histology Technician / Histotechnician
Job Requirements
Successful candidates for the Histology Technician should have experience with all aspects of histology. Someone with ASCP certification in histology is desirable.
Additional requirements of the Histology Technician role include:
Associates or bachelors degree in life sciences, preferred

years of experience as a Histotech
must be CLIA eligible to gross specimens
