Medical Billing Specialist - Insurance Poster

We are seeking a professional who can perform the following:
o Enter patient demographic, insurance, cpt and diagnosis codes into our billing system.
o Post patient co-payments and statement balance payments.
o Work edits in the billing system to ensure clean submission of claims to the payer within a timely fashion.
o Evaluate the claim to ensure accuracy.
o Work front end rejected claims from payers for re-submission after making the necessary corrections
o Work with the billing team to learn/educate each other on how to bill each payer.
o Post insurance payments by remits and ERAs.
o Escalate issues to Manager and/or Team Leader as necessary.
o Other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications:
o Knowledge: Medical and insurance terminology: such as cpt codes, diagnoses, and patient liability, and a full understanding of inpatient and outpatient physician billing.
o Education: High school diploma or equivalent. CPC, CBC,or CCA certification. College and/or Certification Preferred.
o
Experience: Minimum 4 years' experience in Medical Billing/Follow-up for a billing service, hospital or doctor's office and experience with Microsoft Office suite and standard office equipment. Type at least 60 wpm and 12,000 kpm on 10-key machine.
o Skills/Aptitudes: Demonstrated communication and problem solving skills and the ability to act/decide accordingly. Ability to collect, create and research complex of diverse information. Exceptional customer service and the ability to plan, organize and exercise sound judgment.

Temp to Hire
Salary Range: $11-$14 depending on experience
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
