Fleet Analyst


Summary:
The Fleet Analyst supports United's fleet operations by using analytical and quantitative
methods to understand and enhance fleet management processes. The position is located
in Birmingham, must have the ability to travel up to 75% of the time.
o Provides support across all United's fleet operations by monitoring processes,
analyzing data, identifying process gaps and communicating results.
o Utilizes skills in database management and spreadsheet analysis to help benchmark
best practices and facilitate improvements in the Fleet Management System.
o Assists in the training and administration of fleet procedures to support company
policies and ensure regulatory compliance.
o Responsible for the analysis and development of productivity measurements to
simplify and/or improve processes.
o Investigates problems, determines root cause, evaluates, recommends solutions and
implements changes in the fleet field operations.
o Participates in the equipment life cycle analysis to determine short and long term
capital planning strategies.

Requirements:
o Candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree or 3 to 5 years related experience and/or
training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
o Candidate must have strong quantitative and analytical skills; be familiar with asset
management and fleet operations; strong management and leadership skills; broad
range of computer skills with advanced Excel experience (spreadsheet analysis,
statistical functions, pivot tables, charts and graphs);
o Candidate must be a self-starter with the ability to work independently or as a
valuable team member; good interpersonal skills; ability to clearly communicate
findings, make recommendations and facilitate change; be comfortable working with
individuals at all levels within the organization; and project management skills.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
