Environmental Retail Lab Pack Specialist

EPSVT Retail Lab Pack Specialists work both indoors and outdoors at retail customers and are responsible for assisting with the daily lab packing of waste from these stores, household hazardous waste (HHW) collections and lab moves with various levels of responsibility. Veterans and transitioning military, this is a great opportunity to leverage your skills and training as you return to civilian life. These positions offer the opportunity to grow and advance from entry-level to management at EPSVT.
Responsibilities:
o Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following policies, processes, and acting in a safe manner at all times.
o Safe and compliant execution of retail lab pack projects/jobs and the proper packaging of material/waste and off-specifications of retail and commercial products.
o Ensure upkeep and cleanliness of vehicles or assigned equipment and supply areas.
o Conduct projects/jobs according to site specific Federal, State, and local regulations and health and safety plans as well as internal policies and procedures.
o Ensure customer service by communicating customer needs and requests to the Retail Project Coordinator. Adhere to field standard operating procedures and understands customer specific disposal options/special packaging requirements.
o Assists the Retail Project Environmental Coordinator in the safe and compliant execution of assigned lap pack projects and jobs.
o Print required labels and labels drums and assure driver of an expedient pick-up. Load/pack materials/wastes properly and segregate for compatibility the waste material on transport vehicle.
o Understand customer specific disposal restrictions/special packaging requirements.
o Accumulate and record accurate billing information to ensure proper billing to customer.
o Ensure customer satisfaction by communicating customer needs and requests to the Retail Services Project Coordinator. Adhere to field standard operating procedures and understands customer specific disposal options/special packaging requirements.
o Assist the Retail Services Environmental Coordinator in the safe and compliant execution of assigned lab pack projects/jobs.
o Overall quality control of waste materials to be shipped.
o Ensure drum count is correct and that drum conditions are shippable in accordance to the policies and procedures of the USDOT and EPSVT.
o Performs other duties and tasks as assigned from time to time by management and will be required by the needs of the EPSVT business.
REQUIREMENTS:
o High School diploma or equivalent required.o College degree in chemistry, biology, geology, or other natural science preferred.
o Military experience a plus!
o OSHA, DOT, and RCRA experience preferable
o Ability to travel overnight in some locations
o Ability to obtain and retain a Class B/C CDL with hazardous materials.
o Clean Driving record, for the purposes of EPSVT employment, includes but not limited to the following:
o No more than one (1) serious speeding infraction (speeding in excess of 15 mph over the posted speed limit) within any three (3) year period.
o No more than 2 moving violations in the past 3 years
o No DUI/DWI in past 3 years
o No preventable accidents in the past year
o No more than 2 preventable accidents in the last 3 years
o No serious moving violations in past 3 years, i.e., Reckless driving, Driving to endanger, Open alcohol containers, etc.
o Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills
o Technical skills with the ability to develop proficiency in Windows based applications
o Detail-oriented and able to handle multiple projects
o For our most senior position, leadership and supervisory skills as well as the ability to work with little or no supervision.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
o Climb on and off forklifts; Lifting up to 50 pounds from the ground to your waist.
o Climb up and down vertical ladders.
o Capable of reaching out, over and down exerting a force.
o 20/20 eyesight corrected or uncorrected - depth perception is critical.
o Good hand/eye coordination.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
