Supply Chain Manager

Position Summary
The Commodity Manager - Steel Products will be responsible for the management of $100M
of steel spend and development and execution of the steel purchasing strategy, managing a global supply network and establishing service level agreements, driving cost reduction programs, achievement of key performance indicators and risk management ensuring all productivity and supply chain metrics are met.

Primary Responsibilities (Essential Duties)
Acquires a deep knowledge and understanding of this commodity's markets, macro indicators and supply chain.
Develops and implements a long-term and annual operating plan for the commodity under management.
Identifies strategic partners and delivers improved products and lower costs to the organization through supplier management, strategic sourcing, commodity management, and total cost management.
Drives cost reduction initiatives and inventory on hand reduction programs
Models macro-economic and market scenarios to inform purchasing strategies
Works across the industrial and infrastructure groups to coordinate opportunities to leverage steel purchasing activities across the business units steel purchasing activities across the business units.
Utilizes project management and change management skills to drive continuous improvement activities throughout the supply chain to reduce commodity costs
Introduces innovative solutions or strategies for the commodity managed.
Manages Supply Chain KPIs(purchasing efficiency, OTD, quality, ITR, etc.) to ensure attainment of targeted performance goals
Maintains purchasing terms and conditions and negotiates supply contracts pertaining to this product.
Collaborates efficiently and effectively across the organization--including sales, regional management, operations, logistics, finance, and supply--to enhance the supply chain planning process.

Secondary Accountabilities
In addition to the accountabilities listed above, individual may perform other duties as assigned, including work in other functional areas to cover absences or relief, to equalize peak work periods or otherwise to balance the workload.

POSITION

Education / Experience (an equivalent combination of education and experience required to successfully complete the primary accountabilities is indicated below)

Degree: Bachelor's Degree, Master's degree is preferred
Major: Supply Chain Management (preferred), Business Management
Experience:
Minimum of 8
years of broad sourcing leadership experience, preferably in a manufacturing organization, across a large multi-location business.
Minimum of 5
years of buying and/or manufacturing experience with raw steel components directly from Mills(Domestic and International)
Managed at least $100M
in annualized spend in direct material with a strong understanding of the global steel marketplace.
Demonstrated expertise in developing impactful negotiating strategies and proven negotiation skills displayed with vendors and suppliers to deliver bottom line results.
Must be a strategic thinker with confidence and speed in execution and have the ability to interact at the highest levels of the company.
Proven results in managing and implementing supply chain sourcing strategies and service level agreements
Proven supervisory and management experience on all levels are required.
Ability to plan and direct the work of others and insure training and development objectives are being met.
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
Excellent presentation and public speaking skills.
Strong sense of urgency in meeting customer needs.

Technical Skills:
A working knowledge of manufacturing processes related to products that must be sourced. This includes hot rolling, machining, flame cutting, etc.
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
Adept in an ERP environment and related reporting/data warehouse, preferably Oracle, to drive integrated planning solutions.
Display outstanding communication skills, including excellent presentation abilities, to all levels of management.
Results oriented self-starter with the ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
Must have good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint software. Previous Oracle knowledge is a plus.


Licenses / Certifications
CPM and/or CSCP is preferred

Physical Requirements and Work Conditions
The employee will be working in an office/plant environment with frequent business travel. The employee will be exposed to the following working conditions: Extreme Heat and Cold, Noise, Vibration, Oils, and Atmospheric Conditions such as Dust, Fumes, and Metallic Particles. The employee will be required to perform the following actions (from time to time): Standing, Walking, Balancing, Stooping, Kneeling, Reaching, and Talking, Seeing, Hearing, and Sitting.
Travel: Up to 30%

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
