Click here to learn how we do more for employees. The Sales Associate acts as a brand representative and advocate for Athleta and is responsible for engaging and connecting with customers. Additionally, the sales associate is required to provide the level of service appropriate for each customers needs in order to drive customer satisfaction, sales and brand loyalty. Our most successful Sales Associates have an interest in fitness, fashion, health and wellness and enjoy taking on new challenges. Sales Associates help the customer put together the best outfits for her active lifestyle that help her look and feel her best. They utilize expert product knowledge to educate, inform and inspire the customer. As a member of the Athleta team, the Sales Associate takes pride in the brand, the product and their co-workers, and works hard to deliver an easy yet compelling shopping experience that leaves our customers looking and feeling amazing, inside and out. Understands and represents the Fueling Amazing mindset of the Athleta brand and can represent it and bring it to life everyday Embodies Athletas culture and values in all aspects of their job Ensures desired brand experience is being fostered in store through individual and team customer interactions Establishes & maintains effective relationships with employees and customers Demonstrates a passion for delivering exceptional service every day and inspires by example Connects with customers by asking open-ended questions to assess customer needs and makes relevant merchandise/styling suggestions Brings Athleta to life by creating an amazing shopping experience; fosters interaction similar to being a trusted friend and advisor through engagement and rapport Assists customers in finding out-of-stock items via catalog or on line, by using back-order capability, or by finding substitutions for out-of-stock items (understands and leverages Call Center, catalog & website) Displays a ''customer first'' mindset at all times; focuses on engaging with the customer to meet their individual needs Drives store sales by authentically suggesting additional items to customers to meet their active lifestyle needs Consistently treats everyone with respect and contributes to a positive work environment Ability to do what's right while balancing brand policy guidelines to promote an in-service mindset Looks for ways to contribute to an environment that welcomes innovation and values each employee's unique ideas and contributions Positively influences others and interacts cooperatively and works as a team towards a common goal Supports direction from the leadership team and collaborates effectively across the team Possesses a strong character/ethical core does the right thing in all interactions Demonstrates a ''can do'' attitude, with drive and passion to sell and achieve all goals Communicates effectively and responds to the needs and questions of peers and leadership in a timely manner Understands and follows all company-defined policies and procedures Stays current on all product knowledge and communicates features and benefits to customers to build customer knowledge and confidence in the product Is adept at solving problems Skilled at making quality decisions, and follows written and verbal instructions to meet deadlines on tasks and projects. Ability to sell, relate to others and communicate effectively Open to performing multiple functions in the store beyond selling Ability to receive feedback and to take action when appropriate Ability to work a changing schedule to meet the needs of the business Previous experience in retail and fitness connection preferred Some college preferred Ability to travel as required Ability to work nights and weekends as appropriate to schedule requirements Ability to lift and carry 30lbs Ability to maneuver around sales floor, back room and office areas Ability to work with/around cleaning chemicals

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
