Job Description
Kitchen Leaders play an integral role in ensuring that every customer receives an uncompromising food experience. This involves ensuring that quality ingredients are used and that the customer is always served in a fast, friendly, and consistent manner by following Zo?s recipes, portions and plate presentation.
As a Kitchen Leader, your job will include:
performing basic duties of the kitchen staff
overseeing daily kitchen operations while leading by example
ensuring 100% cleanliness and sanitation throughout the kitchen
maintain overall cleaning of restaurant and storage areas, including mopping
working with the management team on various kitchen tasks
upholding The Zo?s Way standards
effectively train and motivate a diverse kitchen staff
Candidates must have prior restaurant and/or culinary experience and considerable knowledge of the methods and practices of food preparation and service. A passion for food and the restaurant business is a must! Our 100% fresh kitchen is challenging and very hands on, yet the fast-paced culture remains fun and energetic.

Ability to learn all Zo?s recipes and portion sizes
Full knowledge of all BOH practices and procedures
Prior cooking experience strongly preferred
Knowledge of food, including produce, meats, cheeses, sauces, and prepared food
Ability to work well as part of a team
Ability to work efficiently to turn out meals rapidly
Personal cleanliness
Knowledge of inventory management
Ability to handle multiple priorities, often working on several orders at the same time
Understanding of safety practices and correct set up, operation, break down and cleaning of all equipment
Food safety certification, if mandated by state or local law
Must possess a keen sense of taste and smell. Position requires prolonged standing, bending, stooping, twisting, lifting products and supplies weighing 50 pounds, and repetitive hand and wrist motion.
Works with hot, cold, and hazardous equipment typical of a restaurant kitchen, including, but not limited to: flattop grill, oven, Panini press, meat slicer, mixer, food processor, dicer, and steam wells. Hours will vary and may include early mornings, late evenings, weekends and/or holidays.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
