Senior Mortgage Closer

? Required Education:High School Diploma or equivalent. Associate's Degree or equivalent technical training is preferred.
? Required Experience:Four (4) years of job specific experience
? Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
Proficiency in utilizing Microsoft Office and job-specific software applications
In-depth knowledge of various loan types, such as conventional, FHA and VA
In-depth knowledge of agency guidelines, such as Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac
Strong attention to detail
Excellent oral and written communication skills Additional Job information: Knowledge of new TRID requirements is a major plus. Job Description: Job Summary:
Responsible for closing all types of loans (including government and bond loans) and disbursing loan funds; reviews all loan documents for completeness and accuracy. May provide work direction and assist lower level team members as necessary.
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
?Prepares loan closing packages, aggregate escrow figures, and truth in lending statements.
?Reviews settlement statements, tax & insurance information, and underwriting conditions.
?Provides authorization for loan closings prepared by Synovus Mortgage Corporation.
?Works closely with closing agents, affiliates, and correspondents; ensures compliance with appropriate regulations.
?May adapt procedures, processes and techniques to meet the requirements of the function.
?May assist or provide work direction to lower level team members, performing those responsibilities in accordance with the Company's policies and applicable laws. May provide input during the interviewing, hiring, planning, and performance appraisal processes.
?Performs other related duties as assigned.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
