The Job:
The Financial Analyst, Time Inc. will handle or assist with advertising pricing, reporting and analysis, month end close accounting, budgeting and forecasting, in addition to performing ad hoc analyses as required for brands including Southern Living, Sunset, Coastal Living and People Espanol.
You Will:
Work with our offshore team on advertising pricing requests for unique ad units, including developing an understanding of ad revenue pricing and the print production process
Assist in the calculation and payment of independent rep commissions and work to improve the process to gain efficiencies
Perform ad hoc analyses as required, including pulling data from various internal data warehouses, creating reports in Excel, interpreting the results and communicating recommendation to management
Assist in the month end accounting close, including updating financial models, investigating and reporting budget variances and creating journal entries
Evaluate existing pricing practices for ways to improve current pricing model and build consistency across the group
Construct annually advertising rates and communicate those to the sales teams
Assist in the development of the annual budget, reforecasts and bi-weekly pacing
Review and reconcile select balance sheet accounts on a quarterly basis
Review account receivables and assist in collection process including notifying sales people of high risk accounts

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
