Category Insights Analyst

Summary Job Statement: The Category Insights Analyst leverages category, customer, and market knowledge to support category growth. Working cross-functionally with sales, marketing, and retail customers, the Category Insights Analyst delivers actionable insights and resources to a variety of internal and external customers. The role is part of a fast paced, high-performance team focusing on tactical and strategic initiatives across the beverage portfolio, trade channels, and all United Ownership markets.
Collaborate and support strategic category management team projects across United including trade channel segmentation, BDL reduction, and SKU optimization.
Assist in category leadership efforts providing retail, category, and shopper insights to drive growth and awareness of key opportunities.
Convert large volumes of data into actionable insights through analytical interpretation of internal sales data, syndicated data, and customer scan data.
Recognize retail trends and steward back to internal and external clients in order to influence strategy and the development of category initiatives based on key growth trends.
Create customer and category reviews including scorecards, KBI reporting, annual planning, competitive insights, insight-based category selling stories, and other key initiatives.
Develop and maintain routine and ad-hoc reporting as needed.
Actively support the category and space team on category and business analysis needs.
Participate in continuous assessment of current and future needs related to tools and capabilities.
Respond to customer requests for data, insights, and information.
Cultivate strong long-term relationships with sales teams, marketing, and retail customers.
Manage special projects as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:
3+ years of experience working for a CPG company in an analytical role with customer experience preferably in category management, category development, or retail shopper insights.
Advanced analytical capabilities with database experience preferred. High degree of functionality/advanced expertise in MS Office (excel, power point, word, etc.) required.
Strong working knowledge of syndicated data (Nielsen, Dunnhumby, etc.), Tableau and data analytics software preferred.
Proven solution-selling and influencing skills.
Creative problem solver who can define, assess, solve, and communicate effectively.
Ability to create impactful presentations to explain recommendations and findings of studies.
Solid presentation skills including online and live formats.
Strong attention to detail, organizational, and planning skills.
Able to work in a fast paced and changing environment.
Ability to manage self to commitments and deadlines moving projects forward to completion.
Driven to continually grow personal toolbox of skills in order to deliver best in class work.
Occasional travel including overnights across the three regions is required.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
