Job Description
Job Summary:
Serves as a patient navigator throughout the continuum of care.
Responsibilities:
+ Functions as a liaison for management staff, administration, physicians, managed care companies, community organizations, and other customers.
+ Coordinates efforts for treatment and promotes quality improvement and educational efforts.
+ Compiles data, tracks outcomes, and makes recommendations for process improvement.
+ Provides referrals/support for follow-up care for patients who are uninsured or underinsured.
+ Serves as a clinical consultant to management, staff, and the community.
+ Performs ongoing review of ED radiology reports and microbiology reports; compares all positive findings with the medical record to identify variance.
+ Communicates with the ED physician all radiology or lab variances to develop potential change in plan of care; then communicates appropriate change of treatment plan to the patient and documents accordingly in the medical record.
+ Integrates clinical concepts and knowledge relevant to overall documentation and appropriate coding; performs account audits to validate accuracy; provides follow0up to staff. Collaborates with ED leaders to analyze trends and identify educational opportunities for performance improvement strategies.
Qualifications
Licenses/Certifications/Registration:
+ Required Credential(s):
+ Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Alabama Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Education:
+ Bachelor's Level Degree
+ Desire MSN; and one year of clinical experience required

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
