Consumer Credit Risk Manager

At Regions this position will lead, support, and represent the Credit groups within Risk Management in ongoing process improvement initiatives that require subject matter expertise.
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
Requirements
?Bachelors degree or higher required for this position
?Detail oriented
?Experience in credit, underwriting or process is a must
?Incumbent will need to be a self-starter and work with minimal direction
The Consumer Credit Risk Manager is responsible for developing strategic and tactical recommendations that enhance Regions ability to increase profitability, while managing overall portfolio risk. The manager will be required to work within Regions risk framework to identify, measure, mitigate, monitor and report on consumer credit portfolios. The position requires the ability to analyze, communicate, and support the implementation of strategic solutions that focus on the best interest of Regions? customers, shareholders and the communities we serve.
The Credit Risk Manager will be required to possess the following skills and experience:
Knowledge of Auto or other Consumer Credit products and industry changes
Ability to recommend cohesive strategies that balance to increase profitability, while managing risk
Ability to provide direction in underwriting requirements and origination automation strategies
Ability to recommend comprehensive consumer credit policies
Ability to monitor Regions compliance with consumer credit policies
Develop collection strategies
Demonstrated ability to evaluate, synthesize, organize and interpret data and information
Provide key point and action items in a concise and clear manner to Senior Credit Officer and CCRM Executive
Excellent communication skills, verbal and written
Create a positive work environment that fosters open communication among all team members
3-5 years of consumer credit risk management experience

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
