Financial Reporting Analyst

The Financial Reporting Analyst is responsible for assisting in preparing the external financial reports required for HealthSouth. This includes (1) assisting in gathering and analyzing the data used in each report; (2) assisting in verifying the accuracy of each report; (3) executing ?internal controls to support the financial reporting infrastructure of the Company; and (4) protecting material, non-public information.?? Meets position requirements and performs essential functions. Assists in gathering and analyzing data from a variety of sources for all external financial reports. Assists in the preparation of all external financial reports. Assists in the compilation of financial data to support all reports/filings. Executes internal controls related to the financial reporting process. Protects sensitive information. Reports questionable situations, concerns, complaints, or harassment immediately. Completes mandatory training and courses required by completion date. Performs with accuracy and thoroughness; responds accurately and timely to questions from others. Technical Skills / Business Acumen - demonstrates sound accounting and financial reporting skills; utilizes technology to accomplish tasks. Analysis - analyzes and interprets data; uses trends and data to identify problems. Change Agility - learns quickly; performs well under tight deadlines without sacrificing quality of work.? Communication skills - able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing; listens wells; demonstrates proper use of the English language; able to proofread reports; and responds in a timely manner. License or Certification: - CPA eligibility required Education, Training and Years of Experience: - BS in Accounting required - 2+ years of experience in corporate accounting or public accounting required - Proven US GAAP and financial reporting skills - Ability to analyze, interpret, and report financial information Machines, Equipment Used: - General office equipment such as telephone, copy machine, fax machine, calculator, computer.?

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
