Talent Acquisition Specialist II
Summary
The Talent Acquisition Specialist II is responsible for initiating and leading talent acquisition efforts to include full life cycle recruiting, developing and executing a broad based sourcing strategy, and ultimately delivering a viable talent pipeline for the business. Responsibilities will also include tracking and reporting on key metrics, driving process improvements, leading recruiting and HR effectiveness initiatives, and building a strong relationship with functional HR leaders, business leaders, and hiring managers.
Duties
1. Manage and execute full life cycle recruiting
a. Partnering with HR and hiring managers, develop a deep understanding of assigned positions and business groups. Identify required skills, experience, and competencies, as well as other in tangible job profile preferences.
b. Develop and implement effective, leading edge sourcing strategies. Leverage a range of sources, relevant to the job, such as universities, job boards, LinkedIn Recruiter, Google search, and other social media. Identify key diversity sourcing tools to ensure we are attracting a diverse pool of talent.
c. Design behavioral based interviewing guides, based on core and functional competencies.
d. Source, screen and present qualified candidates to hiring managers.
e. Apply tools and provide guidance and advise to drive influence the best hiring decision.
f. Extend, negotiate and close offers.
2. Provide hiring managers with advice, training and tools to create an effective hiring process and positive experience for the candidate.
a. Apply and train others on behavioral interviewing methodologies.
b. Create customized technical and behavioral interview guides, with focus on core and functional job competencies.
c. Foster a positive, professional interviewing experience for candidates.
d. Work with hiring managers, HR team members, and support staff to coordinate interviews.
3. Develop a network of potential candidates or referral sources. Serve as company liaison to candidates, presenting a positive and compelling company image.
a. Serve as the interface between candidates and hiring managers.
b. Deliver prompt follow up and feedback to candidates in the interview process.
c. Provide realistic and thorough job overviews, highlighting the benefits of a career at STERIS.
d. Build a network with relevant industry, professional, or other groups to create a pipeline of talent.
4. Manage recruiting process effectively.
a. Manage requisitions through ATS to ensure that hiring activity is documented according to OFCCP and AAP requirements.
b. Track data accurately, review and report on recruiting metrics to include time to fill, cost of hire, and other required reports.
5. Provide leadership or support on recruiting related initiatives or programs.
6. Other miscellaneous duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Education and/or Work Experience Requirements
1. Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Human Resources, or related field preferred
2. Two to seven years of recruitment and/or staffing experience in a professional fast-paced environment. Industry experience preferred.
3. Must have working experience with applicant tracking systems and AAP/OFCCP compliance.
4. Must have experience recruiting non-exempt and exempt positions.
Skills and/or Business Competencies Required
1. Knowledge of employment law, corporate recruitment processes, recruitment strategies are necessary.
2. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
3. Ability to prioritize work, handles multiple tasks simultaneously, set goals and enforce deadlines, while maintaining flexibility to reassess and re-prioritize.
4. Ability to take initiative; strong analytical, reasoning and problem-solving skills.
5. Ability to build relationships, recruit candidates and make selection decisions.
6. Strong computer skills.
