SUPERVISORY INTELLIGENCE OPERATIONS SPECIALIST (T32)

(1) Plans, organizes, and oversees the activities of the intelligence unit. Establishes, revises, or reviews policies, procedures, mission objectives, and organization design for the staff, as necessary to eliminate work problems or barriers to mission accomplishment, promotes team building, implements quality improvements, or in response to concerns with regulatory compliance and/or customer requirements. Plans work for accomplishment by subordinates, sets and adjusts short-term priorities, and prepares schedules based on consideration of difficulty of requirements and assignments such that the experience, training, and abilities of the staff are effectively utilized to meet organization and customer needs. Provides staff with direction and advice regarding policies, procedures, and guidelines. Reviews and structures organization to optimize use of resources and maximize efficiency and effectiveness of the organization. (2) Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Advises and provides counsel to employees regarding policies, procedures, and directives of management. Selects or recommends selection of candidates for vacancies, promotions, details, and reassignments in consideration of skills and qualifications, mission requirements, and EEO and diversity objectives. Develops, modifies, and/or interprets performance standards. Explains performance expectations to employees and provides regular feedback on strengths and weaknesses. Holds employees responsible for satisfactory completion of work assignments. Appraises subordinate workers performance ensuring consistency and equity in rating techniques. Recommends awards when appropriate and approves within-grade increases. Hears and resolves employee complaints and refers serious unresolved complaints to higher-level management. (3) Exercises responsibility for oversight of various unit activities and operations, including any or all of the intelligence unit functional areas of training, standardization and evaluation, development of tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTP), simulation exercises, scheduling, plans, intelligence collection and production, analysis and reporting, mission management, and mission computer systems. Is accountable for all facets of unit missions. Monitors work of subordinates and reviews written reports. Formulates unit policy and gives guidance to subordinates to ensure that applicable DoD and Federal policies, procedures, and instructions are properly implemented to achieve unit operational readiness. (4) Develops long-range training, intelligence, and deployment plans for the unit to meet training goals, higher headquarters inspection schedules, and overseas deployment requirements. Coordinates required planning and resources with other units such as theater combatant commanders, NSA, AIA, and NGB to support and implement the training and deployment plan. Directs the development of unit training goals and long range advanced planning, which include facility/equipment modernization, improvement, or replacement. Develops and oversees the development of detailed plans for accomplishment of these training goals and advanced plans. (5) Serves as the key advisor to the Wing Commander on all unit matters, including intelligence collection and dissemination processes, support requirements, and technical assets of associated intelligence-data gathering systems. Oversees the coordination of unit intelligence operations with other intelligence units and outside agencies, such as NSA, AIA, DIA, and major commands. (6) Responsible for all fiscal operations of the unit. Oversees the development of the unit budget and allocation of resources. Manages funds to ensure proper utilization and mission accomplishment. Due to the dynamic nature of the technologies used in near-real-time intelligence operations, incumbent must balance multiple factors to ensure that equipment is compatible with current airborne intelligence gathering and communications systems. (7) Maintains mission readiness and ensures unit compliance with directives as validated through the Inspector General, MAJCOMs and other reviewing agencies. Ensures personnel are trained and exercised in required wartime skills and that required records and documentation of programs are maintained. Demonstrates mission capability through a series of extensive Air Force inspections. (8) Oversees all unit training of assigned/attached personnel. Reviews and recommends establishment of formal courses of instruction, training aids, training programs, training standards, directives and memoranda pertaining to training of the unit and its assigned and attached elements. This is an excepted service position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the Alabama Air National Guard. Experience:
Experience, education, or training which demonstrates administrative, professional, investigative, or technical work requiring the ability to deal effectively with others, to collect, evaluate and organize pertinent facts. Experience preparing clear and concise written reports. SPECIALIZED
Experience:
Must have at least 36 months experience, education or training developing and recommending policy, organizing and carrying out specific programs, evaluating and recommending changes in methods of intelligence operations. Experience in administrative, investigative, or technical work which required the applicant to deal effectively with others. Experience collecting, evaluating and organizing pertinent facts and to analyze and prepare clear and concise reports. Experience in managing the function of the work to be performed. Experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
