Supervisory Contractor Industrial Relations Specialist

As a GS 14 Supervisory Contractor Industrial Relations Specialist, you will:
- Serve as a senior Labor Standards Officer (LSO) responsible for directing, managing, monitoring and evaluating the work of staff. - Act as the principal advisor to National Director, DBLS on all Labor Standards matters. - Ensure contractor compliance with the labor provisions of applicable laws. - Promote harmonious Labor Standards to protect HUD's interests. You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. To be qualified for this position at the GS-14 level, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-13 level. Specialized experience for this position includes:
- Administering and enforcing Federal Labor Standards and providing wage determinations for maintenance workers and contractors.Examples of this experience could be but are not specific to:
- Authoring written guidance relating to Davis-Bacon and Related Acts (DBRA); or - Applying Federal or state statutes, executive orders, regulations, standards, or contract provisions relating to administering and enforcing Federal Labor Standards subject to Davis Bacon prevailing wage rates or HUD determined wage rates; or - Analyzing data to conduct investigations and recommending corrective action; or - Working as a subject matter expert on prevailing wages, providing guidance on labor issues, and resolving investigative matters as related to the Davis-Bacon and Related Acts (DBRA). Time-in-Grade:
In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable:
For the GS-14 you must have been at the GS-13level for 52 weeks.Time After Competitive Appointment:
Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
