Academy Sports Freight/Apparel Sales Associate 2014 – Present
On Freight Team, receive delivery of all merchandise for various
departments in the store. Merchandise is sorted, distributed, and processed to
be placed on the floor. As an Apparel Sales Associate, customer service,
placing orders for merchandise out-of-stock handling customer request, setting
weekly ads, setting planograms, assisting customers with sales decisions,and
many other tasks.
Dollar General Store Manager 2013 – 2014
Managed a staff of about 25-30 associates, hired and terminated staff as
needed, handled all Human Resource related issues, processed payroll, staff
scheduling, regular weekly staff and management meetings, worked closely with
District Manager, trained Assistant Managers and staff, and handled all other
store related issues; Shrink Control, prepared various types of reports (sales,
cash management, etc.), vendors, deliveries, maintenance, and all customer
service related issues. Managed a Store Remodel at the location I worked.
Life & Health Has represented several insurance companies; Since 2002
Licensed Agent Liberty National Bank, American General, PacifiCare & United Healthcare
(Medicare Advantage Plans), and a portfolio to include other types of plans to
benefit consumers such as Critical Illness, Cancer, and other important
coverages. Maintained records for customers as required.
Cox Radio Account Executive 2001 – 2003
Created and maintained customer accounts via media sales revenue, met sales
production requirements, produced advertisements for business, attended
weekly meetings – updates and training, use of misc. software to generate
reports provided to management, etc.
Fox6 – WBRC TV Executive Assistant 1997 – 2001
Assistant to the General Sales Manager, prepared several reports, and assisted
other management staff with sales presentations. Processed advertisements to
be placed on the air through the Traffic System. Attended weekly staff meeting
taking notes and generating reports for distribution, etc.
