  • Assist with the Step’s Ahead Coordinator to get low-income patients
    established with the physician as well as follow them throughout their
    pregnancy to make sure Medicaid benefits are approved.

  • Notified physicians from UAB, VA and Cooper Green Mercy Hospital
    regarding the completion of medical records, pulled charts for various audits,
    and made sure dictation is completed in timely manner according to Joint
    Commission standards.

  • Also responsible for logging into spreadsheet forms that were submitted
    for physician’s completion.

  • Greet patients, handle
    the switchboard, answer calls in a timely manner, and route patients’ calls to
    appropriate person or department.

  • Perform
    clerical duties such as data entry, inventory and other paperwork.

  •  Responsible
    for checking patients in and out from their Coumadin Clinic appointment. 

  • Establishing patients’
    demographic for billing purposes, notifying physicians as well as other office
    personnel of visitors, and interacting with pharmaceutical representatives.

  • Keeps
    patient appointments on schedule by notifying provider of patient's arrival;
    reviewing service delivery compared to schedule; reminding provider of service
    delays.

  • Protects
    patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and financial
    information.
